Serum is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Solana blockchain by FTX and Alameda Research. Instead of an automated market-maker it utilizes central-limit order book (CLOB). SRM is Serum’s governance token, giving limited governance rights over Serum in proportion to the users' holdings. Serum Foundation uses 80% of the protocol's revenues into a "buyback and burn" to bolster the SRM price.
