- During the week, Bitcoin attempted to break through the resistance at $63,500. The rejection eventually took it to the weekly low of $58,400 but by now it has returned to the week’s open level.

- Following Valkyrie and ProShares, Volt Equity launched an ETF for Bitcoin companies on NYSE. The ETF is not tracking BTC directly but rather companies with BTC holdings: MicroStrategy, Tesla, Square, Canaan, Riot Blockchain.
- The BTC dip on 27th resulted in approximately $850 million of liquidations across the market. The market cap of the entire crypto market lost $210 billion in a few hours.

- Ethereum news this week reported a new ATH for the second biggest cryptocurrency: first $4,388.19 on October 28, followed by $4,447.54 today. At the same time, in the following two days, ETH burned with the fees broke all records: 30,000 ETH in two days.
- Meanwhile, the Ethereum 2.0 chain went through its first planned upgrade. Ethereum Altair upgrade improved staking reward calculation and light client usability.
- Possibly in a move to follow the competitor, an improvement proposal for Binance Smart Chain was made. Notably, the fee burns are said to continue even after 100 million BNB is burned in quarterly burn events by Binance.

- Software developer Adobe presented a new feature which will let content creators attach NFT credentials to their work. To this end, they collaborated with OpenSea and other NFT marketplaces.
- Facebook Inc. becoming Meta (literally) made news pretty much across the entire tech space. What caught the attention of the crypto community, though, was NFT capabilities teased in the presentation.

- USDT issuer Tether integrated payment security provider Notabene to combat money laundering and increase compliance. Notabene’s travel rule compliance solution will significantly improve Tether’s standing with the Financial Task Force, international financial watchdog.
- According to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation chair Jelena McWilliams, a team of U.S. bank regulators is trying to provide a roadmap for banks to engage with crypto assets. Trusting the banks with management is thought to make regulating crypto trading and mitigating its risks easier.
